VERTICAL GROWING

I produced this concept render in Photoshop to illustrate Box Farm's effortless integration in place of a bookshelf and display-worthy aesthetic appeal. Conducting analysis on existing comparable home-growing products, we identified that aesthetic appeal and consequential placement inside a living space is an opportunity to gain a competitive advantage. This illustration was used to propose Box Farm as a student project to our University and to demonstrate to NASA our project's configuration and potential for implementation into their existing modules.

This vertical orientation would prove critical in both Box Farm as a student project and in our commercial system due to the space-saving capability and increased plant yield potential.

COMMERCIALIZATION AND START-UP COMPANY

Following the success of Mission 7B, Preston and I discovered an opportunity to take the project to new heights by applying to a NASA STTR, National Science Foundation (NSF) SBIR and U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) SBIR federal grant programs while concurrently reducing the system to commercial practice for home-use inlight of the Covid 19 pandemic in the State of Hawaii funded Purple Mai'a start-up accelerator program as one (1) of eight (8) indigenous innovator teams.
